Aftermath marks the final chapter in the saga of King Horan, the Skull Emperor—bringing to a close a storyline that began with the legendary Skull King beaker in 2019. Following the events of Retribution, the Emperor’s greatest nemesis has fallen. The battle is over. All that remains is a silent landscape of bones and ruin, where victory and loss have become impossible to separate.
This release represents the pinnacle of Milkyway’s decorative craftsmanship. For the first time ever, Technicolor Dreamwork, our traditional double-layer sandblast, and ultra-fine Micro-SB detailing are combined on a single piece in distinct sections, allowing each process to showcase its greatest strengths. Rich permanent color, deep sculptural engraving, and microscopic detail work together to create one of the most ambitious designs we’ve ever produced.
More than the conclusion of a story, Aftermath is a celebration of everything the Skullduggery Collection has become.
Designer’s Notes
I knew from the beginning this was going to be an expensive piece to produce because it essentially combines two complete decorative workflows into one.
I’ve been working on King Horan and the Skullduggery storyline for at least seven years now, and I know we’ve built a loyal group of collectors who have followed every chapter along the way, so the final installment had to feel special—it had to go out with a bang.
The mountain of skulls immediately grabs your attention, but my favourite detail is actually just under it. I spent a lot of time on the sandblasted cross-section of the earth below, giving a subtle nod back to Temple of the Dragon by revealing Darthor’s buried remains beneath the battlefield.
Without a doubt, this is the release I’ve been most excited to share in 2026.
