It’s pretty smooth for an ash catcher of this size and it feels like decent quality glass. would not use on a piece above 10 inches, though
Heavy piece only thing I would say could use a thicker 90 joint for the glass comparable to the rest of the ash catcher. Very happy with the purchase and will be getting a few others
Percolator holes are too large and as a result cause water to transfer into the piece it’s attached to despite having lots of clearance between the percolators and the joint itself but otherwise very nice
